Case: Living Memory — from problem to the first pilot
This is not a closed-deployment report. It is an honest snapshot of where we are with Living Memory and who we need for the first stage.
Before: the problem
Local stories fade with residents’ memory. Plaques are often static or outdated. Culture institutions and municipalities want community involvement, but lack a small, repeatable starting format.
What we do: the solution
We are building a small pilot: a few durable plaques, community workshops, collected recordings and photographs. Technology is a means — the headline is social impact: place stories told by people who live there.
Partner role
We are looking for:
- a museum, municipality or care home as pilot host,
- volunteers in history, arts and recording,
- in-kind support for workshop materials.
We do not publish partner names on the website until there is clear consent and a defined scope.
Status today
Pilot · partners wanted. We do not yet publish a public metric such as “X plaques deployed” — we refuse inflated counters. When the first closed stage with a partner exists, we will describe it here with a date and permission.
