From a thesis to informed protection
Preparing a thesis and the projects it contains can serve many goals - not only passing a course.
What diploma work can lead to
- creating inventions or methodologies,
- practical training in protecting one’s own work at patent offices,
- preparation for publication or scientific research,
- foundations for commercialisation for enthusiasts and practitioners,
- education in intellectual property protection (R, C) within engineering practice,
- a basis for a doctoral process.
LEGACY AND INNOVATION provides education, not a substitute for a patent attorney. We show how to organise the result of the work, assess disclosure risk, and only then choose a path of protection, publication or further development.
The “thesis - IP protection” path is one of the foundation’s programme pillars - alongside social innovation and tests in the MVE model (a pilot method, not a technology).
Note: educational content only. Legal decisions and filings always require individual professional advice.
