Stage two · setting and props

My character's world

After the first print, the child builds a world for the character: home, forest, museum, neighbourhood or a game board.

Problem

A single figure quickly ends up on a shelf and stops being played with. What is missing is a second step, where the character gains a setting and tasks that are done together with the family.

Solution

The child chooses the world the character lives in: a home, nature, a museum, the local region, a book, a board game, gentle fantasy or calm science fiction. The mentor keeps the message focused on care for others, knowledge and cooperation. Everyday props are made for that world, such as food, clothes, a book or work tools.

Your role

  • Workshop participant
  • Parent / carer
  • 3D mentor

After the first print the figure gains a world: a home, a forest, a museum, the local neighbourhood or a game board. The child makes everyday props for it, while the mentor keeps the story focused on care for others, knowledge and cooperation.

This card is a working draft used to gather feedback from parents. The project is linked to Digital Heritage 3D. We publish neither children’s names nor protected brand characters on the site.
