3D pets - a child's first model

Problem

Children prefer to start with animals they know and like. Without a prepared theme list, a workshop too easily ends up using random files from the internet or figures of well known brands.

Solution

We have prepared a set of safe themes built around animal species rather than licensed characters. During the session children learn how to remix an existing model and complete their first print with a mentor. We publish neither children's names nor recognisable brand characters on the site.

Children prefer to start with animals they like and recognise. During the first workshop they remix an existing model, prepare it for printing, collect their own figure and then paint it.

This card is a working draft used to gather feedback from parents. The project is linked to Digital Heritage 3D. We choose animal species rather than licensed characters and we never publish children’s names.
