My story and board

A short own story, a printed figure and a simple board for family play at home.

Problem

A digital model often stays cut off from reading and from shared play, so the child loses the link between their own story and what they print.

Solution

We combine a short book or comic of three frames with a figure and a simple board game about a chosen place or an invented character. While playing we talk about rules, taking turns and fair competition.

Your role

  • Workshop participant
  • Parent / carer
  • 3D mentor

A child writes their story in three frames, prints a figure of the main character and builds a simple board around it. The story returns to paper and to the shared table.

This card is a working draft used to gather feedback from parents. The project is linked to Digital Heritage 3D. We publish neither children’s names nor protected brand characters on the site.

Who it is for

  • Families
  • Schools and libraries
  • Game clubs

First stage

  • A three frame story template to fill in during the workshop.
  • A set of tokens and board fields ready to print.
  • A short board game scenario for a family or a class.

Foundation model

The foundation prepares story and game templates, print materials and rules for using other people’s work. We publish neither children’s names nor protected characters.
