Problem

Seniors and carers need temporary, dignified places to stay close to the community, while classic builds are often too slow and costly for a first test.

Solution

We run a pilot of residential or utility modules for seniors and other project beneficiaries on partner land. Finishes and details are adapted with partners to users' needs, to a high standard.

We run a pilot of comfortable residential and shared modules for seniors on land provided by a partner. Seniors and carers assess everyday comfort, accessibility and safety with us.

The layout, equipment and shared space are tailored to the needs of residents and carers.

First stage

One location on partner land (tent field or plot agreed with the partner)
A small test group from a care home / U3A / senior club
Everyday comfort assessment (sleep, accessibility, sense of safety)
Talks with municipalities and senior organisations (no public technical details)

Foundation model

The foundation coordinates the social pilot, protection of the solution and partner recruitment. The local partner provides land, contact with beneficiaries and day-to-day care. Finishes and details are tailored with partners to beneficiaries’ needs, to a high standard. Cooperation with sports clubs for intergenerational sessions is possible without merging programmes into one product.

We are looking for volunteers and academic partners

Across all foundation projects we seek volunteers for field work, documentation, education, logistics and participant care.

For outstanding candidates we offer placements in every format: on-site, remote and hybrid, as well as research commissions, sponsorship of engineering and master's theses, doctoral work and joint research with universities and student research groups.
